At Caredig Care, we’re a place for caregivers and community members to come together — not as clients and providers, but as partners in a shared mission to uplift and support one another.

“Caredig” is Welsh for kind, loving and affectionate — and that’s exactly how we want every person we support to feel. We’re a local team based in Dinas Powys, and we care about our community because it’s our home too.

By taking the time to get to know you, we build a care plan that’s tailored entirely around you and your unique needs, considering every aspect of your care. Whether we’re helping you stay on top of housework, supporting your wellbeing through companionship and conversation, or offering specialist care for more complex conditions, our goal is that you always receive the right care to make life that little bit easier.

Comprehensive Support

Thorough, well-rounded care means having every aspect of your or your loved one’s support needs covered. From daily routines such as personal care and meal preparation, to more complex conditions through medicine management and specialised care, to simply giving our time and conversation, we offer a diverse range of support to a diverse range of people.

Inclusive Services

The diversity of our care reflects the diversity of the people we support — from those with learning disabilities, mental health difficulties and dementia, to those who are elderly, homeless, or affected by substance dependency. We create friendly, supportive environments for everyone, whatever their background, circumstances or identity. Everyone should receive the right care they deserve.

Independence Promotion

We actively encourage the people we support to remain independent for longer, inspiring empowerment and self-confidence while lifting emotional health and wellbeing. Whether we’re helping with domestic tasks, providing mobility support or simply offering company, our focus is helping you live life as freely and fully as possible.

Trained & Qualified Staff

All our carers are fully trained and qualified to provide support with the highest level of care, compassion and commitment. Our team completes an induction course and our accredited training programme, with courses in medication management, moving and handling, and emergency first aid at work — learning from experienced professionals across diverse health and social care backgrounds.

Regular Care Reviews

Once you begin your care journey, we routinely carry out care assessments and reviews so our service always meets your expectations and any concerns are addressed swiftly. The first review takes place after your first week, then every 3 months — though we can review at any time, because support needs can and do change.

Feedback & Improvement

We actively welcome all feedback, whether compliment or complaint — from the people we care for, their relatives and friends, and our own team. It helps us understand what we’re getting right and where we can improve, so those in need always get the right support. At Caredig Care, we value the thoughts and opinions of everyone in our community.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Privacy is your fundamental right to freedom from undue intrusion; confidentiality is how we respect and protect your information. Whether by following GDPR on information handling, or in the way we provide your care day to day, all our carers are trained to safeguard your privacy and confidentiality with dignity, sensitivity and respect.
